Dante Controller v4.10.0 is a recommended maintenance release which adds improved support for Dante AV products in Dante Controller and Dante Updater.

The installer includes Dante Updater v2.4.0 and Dante Activator.

Notes: 

Installing or Updating Dante Controller

To install Dante Controller you will need to be logged on with administrator privileges.

Note: You do not need to uninstall the previous version before installing this update.

To install Dante Controller:

  • Ensure you are logged on to your computer as an administrator.
  • Double-click the downloaded Dante Controller installer file.
  • A drive icon will appear on your Desktop Finder window. Double-click it to open.
  • Double-click the Dante Controller.pkg file. This will run the installer.
  • Read the license text, and if you accept the terms of the agreement, click Agree.
  • If you do not accept these terms, click Disagree to terminate the installation.

  • ETS-4467: Column sort for event log does not sort alphanumerically

  • CS-866: Unfamiliar text is shown in Device Config when Unicast delay is enabled while network is switched to Redundant
  • CS-969/ ETS-4038: In some circumstances security policies may restrict access to folders needed for correct operation of Dante Controller. The application terminates with an ‘Exit Code 1’ message. Workaround: run Dante Controller with Admin permissions.
  • CS-477: The software update window language may not match the Dante Controller Language
  • There are several locations where text is only available in English or the translation is incorrect. We will continue to seek corrections and improvements for this.
  • KAS-233: Unmanaged multicast bandwidth value does not include video media
  • NIMBUS-459: The ConMon server version shown in the About window may be incorrect if ‘Use shared interface’ is set to 'Off'
  • CM-1402: DDM interop: Dante Controller incorrectly allows enrolled Brooklyn II devices at v4.0.9.2 firmware to create AES67 flows. Workaround: Reboot the Brooklyn II device.
  • CM-1424: DDM interop: The 'Create Multicast Flow' dialog incorrectly reports support for 64 channels / flow for SMPTE configs that only support 8
  • CM-1432: DDM interop: Dante Controller shows SMPTE clock domains 1, 2 and 3 as sample rate pull-up clock domains in the clocking status tab

Audinate’s Support for Inclusive Language

To our customers: some of the terminology used in Dante products has been changed to align with modern usage. Specifically, areas related to Dante clocking now refer to “Primary Leader Clock”, “Leader Clocks” and “Follower Clocks” to describe the functions of each role more clearly.
